with a special emphasis on residential lake water pumping systems  - - with an extensive track record of serving
the highest value residential water front properties

After 43 years of contracting, closing in on 70 yrs of age, the owner has finally decided to retire from “active duty”:

Now, for a Limited Time, you can buy this Proven, Successful, Highly Refined Business available with intensive training so you can start to change your life for the better:

Wouldn't you rather be involved with a business that does not require the serious overhead of a lease space and doesn't depend on holding a significant inventory - - a costly inventory you could be left with “holding the bag” if customers suddenly thin out ?

c

c

A business where you can avoid the expensive "overhead" of a commercial lease space if you choose:

It's a fact:    a typical small business lease space costs over $2,000 a month rent - - you can avoid that bleed.

A business where in the beginning you can even conserve if needed by buying your equipment & parts for each install after you sign up each customer  . . .

Did you realize that 50% of new start up businesses fail within the first five years, and 66% of businesses fail within 10 years.

Yet this lake pump business has been successful every year for over 14 years running.

It's your choice. Sign up for a lease space or initially even run it out of your garage or a storage facility space if you choose  - - - - the option to save big on lease space / overhead costs . . .

This is a well established business that has a proven track record of cash flow success, even during tough times.

c

c

Fact:  In 2023, with only myself and 1 occasional day labor helper I earned over $335,000 gross sales with just installing pump systems. Indeed, I have the bank statements to prove it.  As with the last 14 years, most of the work typically from April through November.  For the last 14 years most all the jobs were completed in a total of 8 to 12 hours on site or less.  Profit levels are outstanding. Of course an experienced, competent accountant like I use is a must.

I know which type jobs were the most profitable - - - and which to avoid at all costs.   I learned the absolute best way to price a job - - to squeeze the most profit out of it.

This is not a business for the slackers, the wimps, or the pansies.    This is a business for an ambitious, "True Grit" John Wayne type of guy.

c

c

Too many “what ifs” to cover here, but I have over 20 typewritten pages prepared on business and sales strategy SPECIFIC to this successful business.

Heck, if you can't become a millionaire in like 15 to 20 years of doing this work till retirement  - - - you just aren't hustling enough, not following my advice and not applying it.

Below is an image of what could be YOU, driving to and from work everyday on the lake, wind blowing in your hair, fresh air all around, a boat is a total “write off” tax expense if you choose to invest - - for servicing your customers:

Just copy / paste your smiling face in the above:

More about the risks of “storefront” type businesses:

12-20-23: A reported 25% increase in business bankruptcy filings for the last 3 years: Well established names such as Neiman Marcus, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Sears Hometown, Lord & Taylor, Chuck E. Cheese, GNC, Advantage Rent-a-Car, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Gold's Gym, Revlon, Century 21, and JCPenney all filed bankruptcy within the last 3 years, all had lease space overhead $$$ .  Reported 02-27-24: Macy's to close 150 stores by 2026, open new Bloomingdale's, Bluemercury locations catering to luxury buyers - -  as in "The Deep Pocket" customers, whom we deal with exclusively in the lake pump business.    Hey Macy's, what took you so long ?

c

c

Look around town: considerable signs of empty lease space vacancies are starting to appear in higher numbers in strip centers. News reports are that Tesla does not grant stock bonuses to employees this year. Tech companies are pink slipping workers. Wall Street is not paying their usual bonuses to employees this year.

Lately too many brick and mortar businesses are suffering from increased shoplifting crime.   What are the overhead costs for commercial insurance on the lease space ?

In fact, how safe is the lucrative profession of software engineer working as an employee ? In good times it's a sought after position, in tough times not so much: In 2023 more than 191,017 workers in U.S.-based tech companies (or tech companies with a large U.S. workforce) have been laid off in mass job cuts, according to a Crunchbase News tally.

In 2022 more than 93,000 jobs were slashed from public and private tech companies in the U.S.

Doesn't it appear wiser to be involved in a business that as a boss you don't have to rely on multiple employees (which is just more overhead $$$) ? A business you can even run by yourself, as I have ?

c

c

So, are you gonna end up a common slave for the rest of your life ? And if so, will be written on your economy model concrete gravestone epitaph  - - - - just like all the hundreds of millions of others - - - swept into the dustbins of history ?    “Here lies a simple man who never really made it BIG – but may he rest in peace” ?

Or, will you be THE LEGEND who in his successful life “lived large”, with the huge, carved GRANITE headstone that shows how you tamed the world around you - a self employed successful business owner - - WHO CONTROLLED HIS OWN DESTINY and provided very well for his family ?

c

c

Serious inquiries will be entertained, for those who are pre-qualified as to financial ability.

The vast majority of businesses sell for the most recent year gross sales, for this business that number is  $335,000.

The owner is not interested in mere casual conversations to give away trade secret i.p. and 43 years of experience, techniques and strategy.

For those who pre-qualify financially; our P&L statements, bank statements, as well as further discussions are available after completing our NDA. In fact, we even know of an "add-on" business that could add 50% or more on to the gross sales, especially in the cool season.

c

c

Included in the sale are the established phone number, the #1 high ranking websites, a highly refined legal contract developed over 43 years, the pipe trailer, as well as intensive sales and technical training would be provided to the successful buyer.

c

c

Note:    Banks typically don't loan money to buy businesses, unless that business has extensive, owned real estate holdings (rare) or other significant physical collateral.

Obviously, banks want significant collateral in case anybody “face plants” a business  - - they would need to foreclose and try to recover their money back.

Therefore, either you have the money - - -  or a wealthy family member or friend is willing to back you, etc.

A portion of the profits from this business have allowed me to pay my son Nick's college education & adventure man-cation with my son and I downhill skiing all over Colorado & California / Nevada. We have gone diving, sailing, and fishing in Cozumel multiple times, to the Bahamas, Bonaire, Roatan, Honduras, Belize (The Blue Hole), Cabo San Lucas, and most recently the legendary Raja Ampat, Indonesia on the awesome Solitude Mega Adventurer.

Kiteboarding in Costa Rica. Cable wakeboarding dozens upon dozens of times at Texas Ski Ranch, Nick barefoot skiing behind the Austin Barefoot Club boat, parasailing in Cancun, surfing at N land Surf Park, wakesurfing, flyboarding.

Bought a '24 T Bucket Hot Rod, owned it 6 years. Add on to that at least 5 offshore tuna trips, 150 to 200 miles offshore each in the Gulf of Mexico.

Plus I paid for > $10,000 worth of tennis coaching and private lessons over 3 years so my son could battle and qualify at tryouts for Varsity on the #1 high school tennis team for 100 miles around (Westlake - Austin) - - all without making so much as a dent in my savings. Now Nick is a UT grad and a software engineer for a Fortune 500 company.

And who in their right mind wouldn't choose a business that offers one the opportunity to be a "man of means" ? I can still painfully recall 2003 to 2008 when I was so dirt poor I could hardly pay my mortgage mostly I felt because my earnings were limited to the local San Marcos area. Whoever buys this business and runs it like I did, or even better will likely be picking up fat checks as I do from the wealthiest people in all of central Texas (multi thousands of dollars per check) for like a total of typically 8 to 12 hours work each job. To most, the choice is a no brainer.

Austin in the last years is BOOMING even more, as in CRAZY money and getting even crazier$$$. I can show any qualified buyer multiple images of these "50% down in advance checks" for like $6 grand all the way up to >$13.9 grand for 2023.

None of us are getting any younger and no doubt it's important to have sufficient finances / savings for senior healthcare and eventual retirement. I was able to pay off my house mortgage in full and achieve decent retirement savings with this lake pump business.

The fact is, when you own your own business, you control your own destiny. I have run this business for 14 years so far and no national economic problems or covid pandemics slowed my business down. 2023 was my best year ever, more than doubling gross sales over 2022. In fact, this business $$$ even allowed me to recently fully fund an endowed family scholarship at my alma mater, Texas A&M University.

The successful candidate should be, or learn to be an experienced, certified scuba diver like me who is comfortable diving at depth with zero visibility, if required (can tie their own knots in total darkness, work with tools underwater, safely use lift bags, do everything down at depth when visibility is marginal, simply by "feel", if necessary). Otherwise, they are going to have to hire their own experienced diver.

The successful candidate will need to work with electricity and basic plumbing, following basic rules of safety. Anyone afraid of electricity would have to hire someone who is not afraid and capable.

The successful candidate needs to look and act the type: Clean cut, sharp minded, ambitious, shaved, showered, on 1st meetup with clients dressed in khakis with collared polo shirt, etc.

The successful candidate needs to be in excellent health and own a reliable, clean late model pickup truck with no damage.

The successful candidate needs to answer the business cellphone every time it rings in their own real voice, not forcing customers to email or text like my competition does.

The successful candidate needs to be comfortable with computers, creating and managing his own websites like I do, typing up quotes, - - or hiring somebody else to do it.

In order to more carefully follow the most likely path to success the owner has discovered, the successful candidate needs to already reside in or move to Austin, TX or nearby.

Lake Austin and Lake Travis have the most highly valued water front real estate in all of Texas - - this is where the serious money is.

If the the successful candidate is paying full price to me at closing of the deal there is no need for background check and credit check , but if financing, the buyer also needs to pass a background check and credit check.

Of course, if they have the $$$, or their friends / family that can pony up the full purchase amount for them, then they can run it as they wish, although I predict they would get more sales by looking like the absolute type of clean cut guy that these wealthy fat cats want to do business with - - which matter of fact is not the "Bob Marley" type - - or guys covered in tattoos, or nose rings, or missing half their teeth, or other weird, deviant behavior.

Don't have the financing or the savings ? I offer a 6% commission finders fee (which comes to over $20 grand to you if you bring me a pre-qualified buyer who pays upfront in full, my full asking price) indeed, if you find the right guy who can and does buy my business. Obviously, any other deals are negotiable, so finder's fee will still be attractive.

52 hr. Tuna Safari 150 miles Offshore on The Scat Cat 11-29-13

$1,440 for 2, paid for with profits from the lake pump business

The ScatCat is docked at Fisherman's Wharf, Port Aransas, TX.   From there we traveled to the legendary Perdido rig down near Mexico - - - 9,200 feet depth.

On this trip seas were calm as a field of soft clover, less than 1 ft out at Perdido. Roughly 8 hrs. travel time each way by sea.

Back then prices were $720 a man, so $1,440 for my son & I. Now similar trips are 56 hr. for $1,050 a man .

Only 23 fishermen allowed with 5 deckhands present. Most of the best fishing was all night plus sunrise.

A lot of tuna fishing is done on artificials. Jigging only on the port side and top water lures only on the starboard side.

We broke off at least once using 100 Lb. Powerpro line (115L senator reels 9/0 shown are spooled with 100 Lb. Berkeley “Big Game” line) and lost 2 japanese cypress lures at $25 each.

We slayed two 75 Lb. Class Yellow Fins and 4 more smaller YF's as shown. Captain was named "Poke Chop".

Everyone "limited out" on yellows, with a max of 3 yellow fin pp and unlimited blackfin (still unlimited on BF's even today), but captain put his own limit of 10 blackfin pp in this trip.

We concentrated on yellows.    Many were simply cutting up their black fins as caught and immediately using as chum.

These are the types of man-cation adventures / assets

the owner/buyer of Austin Lake Pumps can afford to undertake:

Circa early 1980's on Ken Richard's Boat, 28 ft ocean racer. Ken is standing at far left with the big Red Drum, Junior next to him,

Robert Neighbors in blue swimsuit w/ stripes, Kathy - Robert's date. Rick Koenig, Robert's HobieCat sailing buddy in dark shirt.

Ken still holds the State of Texas Record for the largest barracuda ever speared underwater in Texas waters,

it's still on the State website - - a dangerous, razor sharp, teethy predator to attempt to spearfish underwater, for if you don't kill this fish with the first attempt - - -

the legend is they come back after you. They say everybody get's their 15 minutes of fame in life - - what will be yours ?

This particular day was a 2 tank spearfishing dive at Stetson Rig, a triple L shaped rig.

Our destination was ~75 miles offshore. The ride out was BRUTAL, like 6 foot waves left over from a front,

with a 28 foot ocean racer boat. But once we arrived the ocean gods calmed down completely, blue water appeared,

visibility was like 60 feet or more underwater. Unfortunately Obama had these rig(s) dynamited during his reign.

We spearfished a massive amount of large Amberjack that day, average 20 pounders, (before Federal limits in force).

~80% of the fish are still in the boat, not even shown.

This was a day to live in our memories forever.

his way on to the Varsity team at Westlake High, Austin - -
